Square-Enix knows how to hype

While I have no problem with companies marketing their wares, I feel like Square-Enix is just rubbing it in with this one.  First off, the game isn’t even finished yet.  It has not been released.  And no one even knows when the heck localization for the US/EU copy is going to commence.  Oh and there’s that little issue of having to port it to the 360, because someone in Japan thinks that 360 users suddenly care about RPGS (or final fantasy games for that matter).  So I see this [awesome] poster being put up in LA and I can’t help but feel a tinge of annoyance.  It would help if I could fool myself into believing that there’s any chance this game is going to come out early Q1 or Q2 2010.  That, maybe, something will be announced at E3 to confirm that this game is actually going to be released eventually and be worth waiting all this time for.  But, being the constant pessimist I am, I’m convinced that this title will not see the light of day in the states until Q4 2010…because Squeenix likes to torture us Yanks.

So thanks, for nothing Square (ok I still love you…even though you kill my inner child).
