PS3 Slim – It’s real because Kaz Hirai said so

It’s official: PS3 slim is a rumor no longer. In an announcement that once again proves Sony is the master of keeping a secret, Kaz Hirai told the press at GamesCom, as well as the rest of the world, that the PS3 Slim will be released this September. And the best news, Sony is going with the $299 price point, a decision that can only help sell more units of the struggling system. So, it is with great pleasure that I shall go finish and release episode 11 of the podcast, in which I will announce that the PS3 is (to me) a rumor up until the point that ‘Papa Hirai’ says otherwise. Mmmm, eating crow is so much fun.
