The Whispered World – Brush up on your German
Whoever said adventure games are dead clearly didn’t tell German game developer Daedalic Entertainment that. And thank god for that because their game “the Whispered World” is a love letter to all the fans of that forgotten genre. If you haven’t seen this game yet, make sure to check out the video to the left. You’ll see a 2d, hand-drawn, point-and-click adventure game the like of which we haven’t seen since “the Longest Journey.” While it’s only just made it’s GamesCom debut and does not have a release date out side of Germany (yet), there is a lot of talk that Daedalic wants to bring it to other markets. As a fan of unique games like this, I’ll be happily awaiting that announcement. In the meantime, I’ll happy for a trailer with English subtitles.
