Funcom, makers of the sleeper hit The Longest Journey and MMOs like Anarchy Online and Age of Conan, made the most of their recent trip to PAX this year, shedding some light on their newest MMO: The Secret World. Throughout the show, the development team released a collection of trailers, a slew of screen shots, and a smattering of details regarding what players will encounter in TSW and how the three factions, The Illuminati, the Templar, and the Dragon, will interact in the game. Below is the best media that has been released up to this point. Something worth noting: in a clear example of just how long it takes for one of these games to hit store shelves, it was revealed the seeds of The Secret World’s development were planted way back in 2002, long before the debut trailer hit the web. Does that mean we should expect it any time soon? Probably not. They’re still in the Pre-Alpha stage (so sad). But do count on a lot more information to come out about this game over the next year.
