Left 4 Dead 2 – Australian people get neutered version
I hope Valve isn't making a statement here!
So Australia is getting Left 4 Dead 2, though it may not look much like the version the rest of the world is going to get. Because of a rating system that goes against all logic, and a cabinet member who has brought the issue to a virtual standstill, Australia’s version of left for dead has been modified (some might say heavily) to remove excess amounts of gore and tone down how many cadavers you leave in your wake. While I can’t, and won’t, defend Australia’s actions, mostly because it’s a combination of stupidity mixed with censorship, I commend Valve for taking steps to ensure that some version of L4D2 is released down under. Australia, it’s time to take your head out of the sand and really address this issue. Your countrymen demand it of you!
