Discussion Topic: Sonic Series, Ubisoft “always online”, and being labeled a “Gamer”

By Rob James | 04 February 2010 | Editorial | , , | 2 Comments

Another weekend, another show recording.  This show, we’ll reflect on the best and worst of ‘Sonic’ as well as speculate on what the blue-guy will be doing in his next adventure (we assume it’ll have something to do with going real fast and collecting a ton of rings).  Also, we take Ubisoft to task for it’s draconian, always-on drm (don’t expect to get off with just a warning, Bioshock 2).  And last but not least we tackle an issue that always makes us a little pissed off: the term “gamer” and what it actually means in 2010.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on these issues and anything else that you’ve heard on the video game related interwebs this week.  So leave us a comment or shoot us an email at theblog@gamecrashers.net.  And tell everyone to tune in next Tuesday for ep.33 of “GameCrashers”

#1: Im really excited for Sonic 4. unlike mario and megaman, i played some sonic when i was young. I “obtained”, played and finished all 3 sonic games(including sonic 3 and knucles) a few years ago. First day buy. I hope each episode has a good amount of levels though.

I hope co-op with tails is still gonna be avalible.

cant really comment on #2. my PC can barely run PS1 games.

#3: i dont mind being called a gamer. I do hate it when people (cough*parents*cough) say im too old for games.

    RADONTHEWEB1 10% off, if order over $50
    RADONTHEWEB2 12% off, if order over $75
YOURCALENDAR 25% Off if you buy 2 or more calendars
    BIZCARDSAVE1 15% off business cards

I have been collecting these from various sites. While I have used ones that expire, these do not seem to.
