In reading internet comments some believe that the two may have done something wrong or in some way breached their contract and lawsuits are pending. I haven't had a chance to read the filed document via the SEC. However the opposite side of that coin is the claim that they were working on a new IP without the blessing of Activision. I don't want to take sides just yet, but my first instinct is to side with the proverbial little guy here. Like you stated, Activision is very protective of their "cash-cow." Honestly if they were/are working on a new IP that would be great. This could even be a big break for them in starting their own development studio. If the "new IP" rumors are true what do you think some of the adverse affects could be on the IW crew and the backlash that Activision will recieve from gamers? Will the rest of IW jump ship of a new studio is started. Will gamers come to their sense and realize they're being fed mindless COD dribble every 1.5 years (post COD4 of course)?
