VIDEO: Halo Reach MP Beta Trailer Dissected
So you’ve seen the Halo: Reach multiplayer video that Bungie put out last week. But did you catch every single little detail, feature, and addition that they’ve crammed into their upcoming continuation of the Halo series? Sure, the jumpjets are pretty self explanatory (and batsh*t insane) but there were a lot of things in there that the average Halo fan (like myself) might have missed.
(Original Trailer – release by Bungie)
Well fear not, Halo junkies. Youtube user Hoovaloov from TiedTheLeader has taken it upon himself to dissect the whole video and give you his thoughts on what each new piece of Reach’s MP will look and play like.
(Multiplayer Trailer Analysis – TiedTheLeader)
While nothing is set in stone until the game launches this fall, it’s awesome to see just how much Bungie is doing to make Reach’s multiplayer experience stand apart from that in Halo 3 and ODST. And did I mention: jumpjets!?
The Halo: Reach beta begins on May 3rd and requires Halo 3 ODST in order to participate.
Hale: Reach will release sometime in the Fall of 2010 for XBO360.

I watch that whole ten minute video, despite not having played Halo since Combat Evolved with no intention of playing Reach.
The “Headhunter” mode looks like a direct copy of the “Greed” mode in Unreal Tournament 3′s free Titan Pack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxrpyOBe8zU
I played a little bit of Greed in UT3, and it was a bunch of fun, so good on Bungie for taking it for Reach, I guess.
Wasn’t really interested in any more Halo after ODST…but this trailer and the analysis has changed my mind more than a little bit.
Besides UT3, didn’t Quake2/3 have a similar game mode?
