SSF4 gets…a Turkish oil wrestler?

This guy wants to give you a BIG hug!

Alright, so this is not new news per se.  But you have to admit, SSF4′scharacter list just got a whole lot nuttier.  Check out the reveal trailer for the 10th and final new character in Super Street Fighter 4: Hakan! You’ll be surprised to know that Turkish oil wrestlers are, actually, real.  Sure, they can’t launch their opponent across a map with a simple squeeze or spin a guy around their abdomen like a member of the Harlem Globe Trotters.  Regardless, knowing that somewhere on this crazy planet people wrestle each other while coated in Crisco seems — well –perfectly suited for a Street Fighter game.  I mean, it’s already got the gayest Russian wrestler in a fighter (not that there’s anything wrong with that).

Just one questions: what’s with the lego-brick hairdo?

That is so weird. I just checked Wikipedia, and yep, its real: Yagli_gures.

I love how in that montage of that crazy backwards-hump squeeze-and-slid-along-the-ground move, some of the fighters are totally freaked out by the move while others are relaxed and blasé.
