VIDEO: LittleBigPlanet 2 Debut Trailer – Not just for levels anymore
When it comes to DIY games, there are few that have been as memorable as LittleBigPlanet. It was the highlight of Sony’s E3 2008 lineup and press conference, which included a tailor-made slide show level built to show off its versatility. It was praised by just about everyone for creating a platform of endless creativity that could be accessed by anyone. And was given a fair amount of flack for pandering to people who really had no issue with the game itself, but rather one song with less than offensive lyrics. But that’s all behind us now. Why? Because Media Molecule is prepping to invade our PS3′s once again with LittleBig Planet 2. And holy ‘sack-boy’ do they have a lot of interesting things planned for the next iteration of Sony’s ‘Play, Create, Share’ initiative.

While it’s unclear from the trailer, it’d be awesome if LBP 2 had some way to access all those 2 million levels from the first game within the second game. If I had to take a guess, I’d bet that Sony wants ‘LittleBig2′ to be bigger, better, and separate from the ‘LittleBig1′. I can only assume some of those concerns will be cleared up, in one way or another, at E3 in just a few short weeks.
Speaking of concerns: please bring back Stephen Fry as the narrator. Pretty please?
