PAX Developer Interview – Monaco
Rob and Brian have been rambling on during at least one of the podcasts about some game called Monaco. I had no idea what it was until I found Andy Schatz tucked away near the skybridge. Rob had insisted I take a look at the game, so I pulled up my belt and did what he asked. For once, he knew exactly what he was talking about.
Andy gave us the low down on what Monaco is which I present to you for your listening pleasure:
For anyone who has read my Day 3 recap of PAX, you already had an idea of what Monaco is. During the recap I had mentioned that I had some difficultly spotting my character under certain lighting effects, so Andy on his plane ride home read the comment and put in a new “ping” function to eliminate the issue. You heard it here folks, GameCrashers just helped make Monaco even better than it already was.
I’m excited to hear about custom made levels and player controlled guards. It will definitely help to give a greater depth to the re-playability of this game. No release date yet or console confirmation. We’re just gonna have to wait and see what comes of this title. Keep up to date with Monaco news at MonacoIsMine.com. I know I will.
