Stupid News: Minecraft, The Final Frontier – Minecraft player builds the Enterprise D to scale
Give this man an ‘A’ for effort. While most people spend their days in Minecraft building ditches to avoid the zombie horde, YouTube user halnicholas uses his precious free time to build a 1:1 scale model of the Enterprise NCC-1701-D from The Next Generation. Let me say that again in case you missed it: he built a full-scale, 1:1 replica of the largest Enterprise ever made in all of Star Trek. I just don’t even know how anyone has the patience to do such a thing. Then again, I’m supremely lazy so I’m not the one to ask (no, really). As he states in the video, his ultimate goal is to get a bunch of people together to help him build the inside of the ship, including the decks, bridge, 10-forward, and all that good stuff. Personally, I hope he ends up with helpers he can trust, otherwise his very elaborate and time-consuming project will almost certainly turn into a gigantic, fiery Hindenburg-esque horror story. As they say, ‘griefers will be griefers’.
That’s ridiculous. I gotta give him credit for being dedicated though. I can’t imagine taking the time to make something like that. I wonder how long it took him so far.
