It’s been a very long time since Tribes came up in the gamer vernacular. So long, in fact, that most gamers today hardly have an idea what Tribes was and what a large role it played in the PC FPS arena in the late 90′s and early 2000′s. It’s also been quite a long time since the original game, Starsiege Tribes, had a proper sequel or follow up that achieved the size, scale, and most importantly the speed of the original game.
That’s where the current carriers of the Tribes baton come in. HiRez Studios, known for their MMO-shooter Global Agenda, are determined to make a game that both lives up to the legacy of the original Tribes, yet works for a whole new audience used to unlocking skills and playing a range of class types.
