Dead Island Riptide plans to ruin more Tropical Vacations
Hey, zombie lovers, Deep Silver and Techland have more zombies lined up for you. That’s right, Dead Island is about to get dead…ier…ish…whatever. The point is, Dead Island is getting a sequel. Dead Island Riptide was announced yesterday during all of this E3 hullabaloo. Aaaaaaaaand…that’s about all the news that’s fit to print. It’s coming, but as for details there’s very little go on other than “we’re making it” and “get hype.”

Here’s what I will say, Dead Island was fun. It was crazy. It was a zombie killing good time. What do I want from my Dead Island sequel. I’d love to see a similar setting, with some more zombie variety, refined combat, and a deeper quest system that isn’t just “find 10 of this” and “go to this part of the island.” That’s what I want to see. But for details that we can point to and go, “this is what they’re doing”…well…we’re just going to have to wait. Expect more on Dead Island Riptide post E3. Until then…keep ‘hacky-slashy’ those damn zombies, my friends. They deserve no less.
