Let’s not kid ourselves. I knew this was going to happen. You knew this was going to happen. It’s like breathing, you don’t have to think about it, you just breath. In a similar fashion, you don’t have to ask if another Grand Theft Auto game is coming out in the future, you kind of just assume it’s happening…then a trailer (like this one) drops in your lap.

So what’s “Five” got going for it, besides the number “five” displayed two different ways in the same logo?

Well, that depends on your point of view. On the one hand, the trailer has a nice assortment of action scenes, awkward moments, and criminal activities going on that the series is known for. On the other hand, this trailer doesn’t really give us much more than a very small glimpse into the lives of the three main characters and a pretty clear indication that all three of them may not exactly be the most stable people on the planet. Par for the course, really.

As for your expectations or excitement level, that will really depend on how badly you need/want a new GTA game. Does this trailer get you jazzed for more GTA? Does it leave you wanting more? Or does it give you leave you feeling like the series is spinning its wheels? Let us know what you think via email or twitter. And, in case you were wondering, you can pre-order GTA V right now, if you so desire.

GTA’s back, people. You may now return to your regularly scheduled car-jacking.

GTA V is scheduled to release in spring of 2013.
