Let’s make one thing clear: this video is very, VERY short. In addition, aside from clearly being a DS game, the trailer gives no information as to the plot, setting, or time period of this game in relation to Okami. All I can gather is that Okami’s protagonist and wolf/dog-spirit Amaterasu has been chibi-tized into something almost to cute for words. In addition, it seems her grasshopper companion from the first game has been replaced with a young girl (at least I think she’s a girl), who is almost too big to ride on Amaterasu’s back. If I could read Japanese, I might be able to tell you, dear reader, more of what to expect from this new title. Unfortunately, I’ll have to leave that job up to someone with skill in that particular area. Expect more info to be released about this game in weeks leading up to the Tokyo Game Show.
