Here's a strange turn of events in the DarkSydePhil saga. While waiting for a response from Youtube regarding the copyright claims against him, Ubisoft went ahead and released an official statement regarding DarkSydePhil's channel and their 'issue' with his videos. Turns out...they don't have one!

Apparently YouTube's 'PlaystationNordic' went through the trouble of linking the different conversation trees to each other to make a playable version of Heavy Rain. I don't know how long Quantic Dream or SCEE is going to allow this to stay up, so for any of you PS3-less people, give it a go.

Having worked in the world of television and commercials for a while now, I’m constantly reminded (sometimes too often) that “less is more”. What can be said in sixty seconds is better served summed up in forty-five and aired twice as often. After all, ‘time is money’. And the more time it takes to say something, the more money it’s going to cost. Luckily for us, EASPORTS has decided to smash their piggy banks into a million pieces and deliver up a love letter to all those who worship ‘the beautiful game’. It’s a trailer that is so massive in design that to view it anywhere other than YouTube would require a super-bowl-sized block of ad time. It’s total, unabashed raw intensity wrapped up, lovingly, in a ‘can-can’ infused visual sensation linked together by astronomical figures that, according to it’s disembodied voice, don’t even begin to encompass the awesomeness that is FIFA 10. Battlefield 1943 – Death From Above

If you give a gamer a plane, they will find something interesting to do with it. It’s a guarentee. Sure, flying the darn thing through the air is simple enough. But crashing it head first into the ground whilst blowing it the “f” up? Oh so much more rewarding (as the video below will demonstrate). This video was brought to my attention by some of my friends over at Video Game Refugees. It’s a collection of kamikaze artists who have taken the time to figure out the best way to use their planes to really piss the enemy players off: ramming it into any sorry sod standing between the pilots and total victory. Attach some C4 to your fusilage and you’ve got a flying molotov cocktail that’s going to blow the bad guys to bits. Victory has never been sweeter. Battlefield 1943 is available on XBL and the PSN. Thoughts on both BF1943 and BF:Heroes coming next week.
